How do I describe “So Happy For You”? What is the album’s mood? Well… it is cynical, questioning, fearful, yet hopeful in the face of hopelessness. It is about recognizing your faults & trying to be accountable. It is about trying to find life’s pockets of joy. Embracing imperfection. It is the result of coming out on the other side of a worldwide pandemic. It’s about trying to be a better husband, father, human than you were yesterday. It’s about the struggle of looking in the mirror and meaning it when you say “I’m So Happy For You”. I pray we all find the strength to love ourselves unconditionally.
